Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information GetResonance collects, why, and what rights you have over it. It is written in plain language rather than dense legal text, because a product built on evidence and clarity should explain itself the same way.

GetResonance is a product operated by Kareen McKinnon, a sole proprietor based in Ontario, Canada, and this policy is written to align with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

1. What we collect today

Right now, GetResonance is in early development, and the only thing you can currently do is join the waitlist. If you do, we collect:

• The email address you provide.

That's it. Nothing else is currently collected through this site.

2. What we'll collect once the product is live

The core product will let you upload your own AI conversation history (for example, from Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini) so we can generate an evidence-based personality read. Once that's live, this policy will be updated, and we'll collect:

• The conversation content you choose to upload.
• The personality read generated from it.
• Basic account information (email, and if applicable, a password, handled securely by our authentication provider).

We will never collect this kind of data without you actively choosing to upload it. There is no passive tracking of your device, your other accounts, or your activity elsewhere.

3. Why we collect it

Waitlist email: to notify you when the product is ready to try, and for nothing else.

Uploaded conversations (once live): solely to generate your personality read. This is the entire purpose of the product, and your material is never used for any other purpose, including advertising, resale, or training unrelated models, without your separate, explicit consent.

4. Who else sees your data

We use a small number of trusted third-party services to run this site. As of this policy's last update, that includes:

• Formspree, to receive and store waitlist signups.
• Netlify, to host the website itself.
• Microsoft 365, for our business email.

These providers may store data on servers outside Canada, including in the United States. If you have concerns about cross-border data storage, you're welcome to contact us before joining the waitlist.

We do not sell personal information to anyone, for any reason. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.

5. How long we keep it

Waitlist emails are kept until the product launches or until you ask us to delete them, whichever comes first. Once the full product is live, retention terms for uploaded material will be spelled out here in detail, including how self-correction and evidence-bounded updates (described in the product itself) affect what's stored over time.

6. Your rights

You can ask us, at any time, to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Delete your information entirely.

To do any of this, email us (see Contact, below). We'll respond within a reasonable time and will not charge a fee for reasonable requests.

7. What this product will never do

• It will never be marketed or sold as a tool for employment screening or hiring decisions. If you're a candidate sharing your own report with a recruiter, that's your choice to make, not something built for an employer to run on you.
• It will never present itself as a clinical, diagnostic, or validated psychometric instrument. It's an evidence-based read, not a medical or psychological assessment.
• It will never infer or report on emotional stability or mental health, a decision we've made deliberately, not one imposed by regulation.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects how your data is used, we'll notify anyone with an active account by email before the change takes effect, not just post a quiet update to this page.
